The Lower East Side For Newbies
EDITORIAL CRAWL
by JoshMapfaced
The Lower East Side on a weekend night often resembles the French Quarter in NOLA, and we're not talking about the architecture. Sub out the tourists for some hipsters who haven't found their way to Brooklyn, a large B&T contingent, and a healthy clutch of I-Bankers and you've got Hell Square (Google it). But you know what? Out of the few dozen bars that crowd this small, crowded hood, there are more than a few winners.

Description
First stop is Welcome To The Johnsons, a 1970s rec-room themed bar that is so over-the-top ironic that even the most jaded of hipsters can't stay away. But WTTJ's appeal isn't all irony (only mostly): the drinks are cheap, there is a laid-back pool table in the back, and there is a sit-down Pac-Man machine to keep you entertained. Fuel up on cheap PBRs, because you're night is just getting started.
