Where To Watch The Kentucky Derby In New York City EDITORIAL CRAWL by JoshMapfaced
Bummed you won't be in Louisville for the Derby? Well did you know that the derby is called "The Run For The Roses" on account of New York socialite E. Berry Wall, who presented roses to ladies at a post-Derby party in 1883? With history like that it's no surprise that New York City offers a number of great spots to sip Mint Juleps and watch "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports."

Description
The party starts at 3:30 at Johnny Utah's (which is across the street from an OTB outlet). There will be three massive screens, $5 mint juleps, and Belmont Stakes tickets for the gal in the best derby hat. For the discerning drinker Johnny Utah's is offering up a Jack Daniels single-barrel julep, which will set you back a Benjamin. Of course a real julep is made with Bourbon, not Tennessee Whiskey...
